WeJustice · Legal tech · Product partner · since 2025

Each action lived on its own site. WeJustice had to make them one.

Three sites, cases won, and memberships collected by hand. Case tracking already ran server-side: what was missing was the journey from signature to compensation, and the payment that funds it. A legal service cannot promise an outcome. We built the platform under that constraint, from brand to code. More than 5,300 pre-registrations before opening give a signal of interest. The demo runs online; the launch is being prepared.

5,300+pre-registrations before opening, no advertising
130+pages scoped before the product was built
24languages, GDPR by design
300,000+signatories of the earlier actions, on Palace.legal
01The starting point

An existing mobilisation. A new service to put to the test.

  • The battles were real. Linky meters removed by order of the Tours court, a caregiver reinstated.
  • Case tracking and complaint handling already ran server-side, with real claimants. Each action lived on its own site, with no interface for the member, and memberships were collected by hand.

We decided to turn it into a platform.

02The existing base

Three sites since 2015, more than 300,000 signatories before the product.

  • The ecosystem predates the product. Lexprecia since 2015, Palace.legal since 2020, VpourVerdict since 2022.
  • The Palace.legal home page today: five actions, their counters, and the three-step process.

That traction is the starting asset: the historical actions will move to WeJustice with their signatories.

03The value proposition

The value proposition, in one sentence.

Product or service

Our collective action platform, from petition to trial

Customer segment

helps wronged citizens who feel alone against a giant

Job to be done

who want to get redress without carrying a lawsuit alone,

Customer pain

by sparing them the lonely, opaque and costly procedure

Customer gain

and by giving them strength in numbers, visible legal milestones and a membership from €6.30 to €25.50 a month,

Competing proposition

unlike petition sites, which stop where the procedure begins.

The MVP covers four journeys, from signature to funding.

  • All four are online in the demo, in 24 languages, with GDPR built in from the design stage.
  • What comes next is scoped: the European roadmap runs from the MVP to the lawyers' marketplace, phase by phase, at the pace of traction.
04The service

Signing is free; joining commits you, and each threshold unlocks a legal step.

  • Signing is free and immediate. Joining opens case tracking and the status of party to the proceedings; a monthly plan, from Mini to Aura, funds the proceedings.
  • Each signature threshold unlocks a step in the proceedings. The action page shows it with its counter, its sourced evidence (EU Court, Constitutional Council) and its legal milestones.
05The ethics constraint

Numbers, in place of promises.

  • Every element on screen is a number. Signature counters, velocity per action, milestones that trigger each legal step.
  • A testimonial is published only if it is a result: an amount, and the action that produced it.
  • Every increment went through the lawyer, who checked it against professional conduct rules before it went live, screen by screen.
06The MVP

A member account to follow your case; fourteen scheduled tasks for the rest.

Two sides of the same product: what the member sees, and what the machine does in their place.

What lived apart becomes one member account.

Tracking ran server-side; what was missing was the interface where the member sees it.

The member watches their case move forward, in light and dark.

  • The dashboard tracks joined actions, threshold notifications, the claimant's file.
  • The plans, from Mini to Aura, fund the procedures.
  • Seats can be shared, and referrals are built into the product.

Fourteen scheduled tasks handle reminders, notifications and publications.

With two people running the platform, we automated what repeats: reminders, notifications, newsletters, scheduled content.

A post written once goes out to twelve networks.

  • The AARRR funnel is instrumented, and the CRM runs 33 emails.
  • The interface is translated into 24 languages by a model run locally.
  • A conversational legal assistant runs in the product, backed by a language model.
07The scoping

What had to be scoped before building: strategy, architecture, design system.

  • Strategy and personas: five profiles, from the citizen to the white-label lawyer.
  • The MVP architecture: what we build, in what order, and why that one first.
  • The design system in the code: 339 tokens, a complete Flowbite theme, and seven lint rules that reject a hardcoded colour.
08The architecture

A 130-page sitemap in four spaces, laid down before the first screen.

  • The sitemap first: four spaces, and every page in its place before drawing it.
  • The architecture fixes who does what. Journeys, roles, CRM and languages can evolve without rebuilding the product.
  • All of it is documented for the team to come. Feature inventory, playbook, deployment runbooks.

We exported the brand from Figma as JSON and wired it to Flowbite. The components ran before we mocked up a single screen. Figma kept the journeys and the templates; the screens we wrote in the Next.js front, on the Django API, multilingual, pre-rendered page by page.

09The signal of interest

Pre-registrations came before opening: 5,300, without paid media.

Acquisition comes from content, press pickups, events and material spread by the community, no media spend.

Beta testers went through membership and the case file before opening. What their feedback changed is not yet documented here.

The service was designed European from the start, for an audience that stops at no border.

10The product, today

The public journey runs as a demo; the launch is being prepared.

  • The product runs to over 130 pages, in 24 languages. The public demo opens part of it, with no sign-up.
  • Dark mode is native, on equal footing with light.
  • The launch is being prepared on wejustice.fr.

The other cases in this portfolio end with a handover. This one doesn't: I'm still on it, and the demo is live.
